Prontip Saelee, PhD, a scientist at Tactiva Therapeutics, removes biological samples from a liquid nitrogen freezer in a lab in the Center Bioinformatics Life Sciences, CBLS. The samples contain cell lines that will be screened for tumor-targeting receptors. Tactiva Therapeutics, a Buffalo-based immuno-oncology startup, is developing a personalized cancer treatment based on engineered immune cells derived from patients’ own cells.
