I am a UB Student, Staff or Professor, may I use these images on my university website?
Yes, for image usage we request you use these images in the positive portrayal of the University at Buffalo. Faculty, Staff, Students and Alumni of UB are encouraged to use these images as part of normal University activities.
How can I give you ID's of people in these photographs?
Just send us links to the online gallery and give us the ID's indicating the frame numbers and we will be happy to add that info to our database.
I found an error on the site?We do at times make mistakes. Just send us a link to the page and the error with your correction and we will be happy to change it.
I want to hang large photographs on the wall of my office or department. How would I go about ordering prints of photos from the photo database?
You can order prints yourself directly. There is a link at the bottom of each image, there are many sizes and papers avaiable to you. Prints can also be made from files yourself, you can download every image at high quality and enlarge the files to the desired size and print them yourself or send to the lab of your choice.
I would like to use this photo in a rectangular banner carousel at the top of the webpage (much like this effect: http://giving.buffalo.edu/), so it would stretch across the page. We'd have to do some cropping to whichever photo we choose. Would we need a higher resolution photo to do this? Or would we be able to use what's in the database already?
There are two image download options. One for web resolution (which may or may not be large enough for your use). And the Print use download button, here you will have the full size original image and may need to crop and resize to fit your needs.
Can these images be used or sold by non University at Buffalo entities?
Resale, redistribution, or reuse of these photos is strictly prohibited by entities not part of the University.. All images displayed in this databse are ©2011 University at Buffalo.
